motherhood

I am back!

Hi friends! It has been a long time since I have blogged. So much has happened, but I have missed it and have been wanting to restart now for quite some time. I just got back from dropping off Grayson and Sawyer (my twin boys) at summer camp and Charlotte is asleep so I thought why not?

Last time I blogged I only had my twin toddler boys. Soon they will be turning five and now they have a ten month old sister. A lot of life has been lived and I will catch you up on everything. I put a pause on blogging because of course Covid happened, but mainly because I was focused on learning photography – which I completely fell in love with!

Why I Started this Blog

I started this blog to share my experiences in motherhood with fellow mamas and to hopefully help and create a community so that we all can feel less alone in the journey. I still have the same goal but I also have some new ones.

New Goals

Almost five years into motherhood and three kids later, I feel passionate about sharing my genuine love of motherhood and parenthood. I often feel that we live in a culture were children are seen as an inconvenience and that adults deciding whether they want to have children or not feel like their lives will be derailed or even completely paused while they raise their children. As if there’s a choice to make between one or the other. Heck, I feel that parents themselves even feel this way.

I want to change that. Life doesn’t stop because you have children. Life isn’t derailed because you become a parent, and children are definitely NOT an inconvenience. Children breathe life and joy into all of us. They are the most precious gift on earth, they are connected with all the things that truly matter and they are untouched by the negative and the ugly in our world.

So, my goal is to try to change this way of thinking. My goal, is to show you, how fulfilling and FUN parenthood can be. How life in a way almost re-starts when you become a parent. You are alive, learning alongside your child, and experiencing the world for the first time through your children’s viewpoint. When I say experiencing the world for the first time, I truly mean that. I mean, do you remember the first time you smiled, crawled, walked, said mama, looked at a bird, felt the grass, felt love? I sure don’t!

I hope you come along side this journey with me and I hope that I can bring joy and inspiration in to your life by showing you just how incredible children are and how fun and meaningful it is to be a parent!

With love, Paolina!

Hi my name is Paolina. I live in Anchorage with my husband and my two little boys. We have identical twin boys who just turned two. I started this blog to share our journey and connect with others who are in a similar season in life. Thanks for stopping by!
